March 19th Board Meeting Rescheduled

The March 19, 2020 Board Meeting has been rescheduled due to the Norman P. Murray Center temporary closure. Notice was received that the facility has been closed until April 1, 2020 due to COVID-19 precautions. With that said, MVEA has rescheduled the monthly Board Meeting on March 26, 2020 to be held at the Action Property Management Office in Irvine. Free sandbags available to assist homeowners during rainfall

With heavy rainfall upon us this week, the City of Mission Viejo is reminding residents that sandbags are available to protect properties from flooding and emergency erosion.

Sandbags are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bags are pre-filled and are limited to 10 bags per resident. Residents can pick-up sandbags throughout the City at the following locations:

  • Craycraft Park, 23650 Via Linda
  • Animal Services Center, 28095 Hillcrest
  • Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center
  • Florence Joyner Olympiad Park, 22760 Olympiad Road
  • Gilleran Park, 24960 Felipe Road
  • Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way
  • Youth Athletic Park, 22056 Olympiad Road

City Public Services staffers are also doing their part to protect the City by inspecting, cleaning and clearing catch basins and flow lines to prevent flooding and other issues.

Amended Election Rules

On February 20, 2020 the Board of Directors agreed to adopt the amended Election Rules drafted by the associations legal counsel. You can view a copy of the amended Election Rules by logging on to the Resident Portal or by visiting the onsite bulletin board.

2020 Board Meeting Time Change

General Session starting February 20, 2020 is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm and Executive Session is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. General Session Meetings are open to the membership.

2020 Election Results

On January 7, 2020, Board Member Donna Bourassa was r-elected to serve on the Board of Directors for another two year term. Congratulations Donna and thank you for your continued service. Their is currently one vacant seat on the Board.
